 Sandan Rolling Maruta (Rolling Log)
三段ローリング丸太
The Sandan Rolling Maruta (三段ローリング丸太) is the successor to the Rolling Maruta (Rolling Log) which was used in Sasuke/Ninja Warrior #03 to #12. The competitor must straddle and cling to a log 40 centimeters (15.75 in) in diameter before kicking the ground to begin its roll down a 15° decline. Two drops were added to the supporting rails in order to jar the competitor and make it harder to continue straddling the log. The log is also notorious for coming off the tracks and halting its spin midway.
